Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – Home-Based, Private Setting
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), or individuals with similar clinical backgrounds, to support a bright and engaging 25-year-old male with quadriplegia in a private home setting.
This is a unique opportunity to apply and expand your therapeutic skills in a highly personalized, one-on-one environment. Our son is cognitively intact, has a great sense of humor, and enjoys an active lifestyle that includes recreational events, educatonal classes, concerts, sports and gaming.
Role Overview:
This position blends personal care with therapeutic support, making it ideal for OTAs interested in functional skill development, community integration, and meaningful long-term impact. This is a valuable hands-on experience in a functional, real-world environment
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including transfers, positioning, and personal care
- Support therapeutic goals related to mobility, independence, and engagement
- Facilitate participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities
- Collaborate with family to maintain consistency in routines and care approach
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable, positive, and engaging personality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically capable of maneuvering up to 80 lbs
- Comfortable using technology and adapting to a dynamic daily routine
- Interest in building a meaningful, ongoing connection in a home-based setting
Compensation & Schedule:
- $30-$38/hour, based on experience and background
- W-2 employment through a payroll provider
- Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time options available)
